THE CROWDED SKY (1960)

Rhonda Fleming had been around since OUT OF THE PAST, directed by Dana Andrews's CANYON PASSAGE and future CURSE OF THE DEMON and THE FEARMAKERS collaborator Jacques Tourneur, so thirteen-years later in Joseph Pevney's THE CROWDED SKY, she got second-billing under star Andrews despite only sharing a few scenes with Efrem Zimbalist, Jr., who wants to keep daughter Karen Green safe from her trampy mother.

MADISON AVENUE (1961)

The third of four movies starring Dana Andrews and Jeanne Crain is the only where Crain plays the sort of "other woman" on the sidelines wherein Dana's MADISON AVENUE mover/shaker is building-up the career of Eleanor Parker. The scenes between Andrews and Crain, though, are the longest and last throughout the entire story.

SEALED CARGO (1951)

Dana Andrews' uncredited brother Steve Forrest plays a Nazi soldier, without lines, about to get a knife in SEALED CARGO... so the brothers never actually share screen-time, but it's the first and only time they're in the same movie.

SWAMP WATER (1941)

Twilight Time's SWAMP WATER is one of several Dana Andrews movies given their limited edition Blu Ray treatment, and now prices over seventy bucks: Directed by French import Jean Renoir (escaped from Nazi occupied France) sans a few studio inserts, it's pretty entertaining, taking place in a rural town nearby a dangerous southern swamp, where nothing survives but escaped convict Walter Brennan, taking in Dana... the stubborn but kindhearted son of equally stubborn Walter Huston... who eventually realizes his future FALLEN ANGEL cohort John Carradine holds all the cards.
